How we helped Radio 2 in paying tribute to the biggest Flemish artists.
The Eregalerij is a hall of fame, a collection of hits composed and written by Flemish artists. Hits that make it to the Eregalerij are considered timeless classics. When created in 2000 by Radio 2 and SABAM, the goal of the Eregalerij was to broaden our collective musical memory of local artists.
This year’s Eregalerij for once was called ‘Eregalerij van de Lage Landen’, due to the presence of the Dutch singer Henny Vrienten. During the event, he was honoured for his musical work, just like Guido Belcanto and Miguel Wiels, Alain Vandeputte & Peter Gillis (the team behind K3 and Isabelle A).
To announce the event, we created a unique video featuring graphic characters of every artist featured in this year’s Eregalerij. The characters morphed into one another, illustrating what the artists would be performing on the night of the Eregalerij itself: Raymond Van Het Groenewoud covered Guido Belcanto, Triggerfinger and Joost Zweegers payed tribute to Henny Vrienten and Bart Peeters sang his version of Tele-Romeo.
